“BUILT TO SHRED”
long time american misfit and veece vandal patrick melcher has been breaking it off for fuel tv lately. laban phideas (seen here with melch) is producing a new series for the skate friendly network starring jeff king , and its called “built to shred”. I met jeff at a contest/demo last year, that dude is funny as hell…..if you don’t think hell is funny, then look for melcher in the preimer episode coming this summer. check your local listings brosef!

MAX BARRERA BLEEDING CRIMSON
Max called me today in his best English and told me that he has hooked up with Kris Markovich and my good friends over at Crimson Skateboards to tour Mexico. That’s right it sounds like Max is going to give the Crimson crew a first hand Mexican tour of insane spots and over packed demos. I think Kris and the boys will be pleasantly surprised at Max’s stardom in Mexico. Here is Max getting busy on a backside noseblunt….possibly in Mexico.
MAX AND PATRICK ON A MEXICAN MISSION
Max Barrera and Patrick Melcher went on a trip to Mexico city recently (actually Max is still there). From what I hear it was complete mayhem. Melcher told me that Max is so famous in Mexico it’s ridiculous….can you say Tony Hawk of Mexico?? So famous that they had to be taken out of a demo because they were getting mobbed by more than 1000 fans. Melcher said it felt like they were the Beatles, people freaking out trying to put hands in the car and wouldn’t let the car drive away. The officials at the demo had to put them in an ambulance, turn the lights and sirens on and get them out of there……crazy. I’ll have plenty of stories to come……
MAX BARRERA COMING UP IN LA
Mexico City’s finest Max Barrera has been taking to the streets of LA. Max is a proud addition to the Veece Vandals and is one of the coolest guys I’ve ever met. From what I here he’s talking with a couple different American skateboard companies to push him through to the American dream. Max will defending his National Champ title at the Mexico Red Bull National contest in Mexico City in September, as well as skating in the Latin X Games. Be on the look out for more coverage from this man.
